Due to the excellent fishing and isolation of this trip the above is the closest I am willing to pinpoint our whereabouts. Our next fall trip is already being planned upon from what we learned on this adventure. Below is a crackberry & I-phone partial accounting of our trip from the morning of Oct3rd to the eve  of Oct6th, 2014. Our camp is set up after paddling approx. 5 Km down some rivers and across 2 lakes.

The First Day

We started out with a red sky in the morning, sailor take warning?

We made camp quickly as the wind picked up. Yes our tent is fully set up in both pictures!

Day Two

Our water tree provided water for the coffee needed to cook  a great breakfast.

We then headed off to the next portage and later Andy grilled us a partridge but I let the fish go.

 Day Three

Gavin put an exclamation on his lunchtime wrap while brian pointed out the value of Andy’s clown beer!

While Andy & Brian portaged to the next lake and scouted future sites and trails, Gavin & myself collected firewood for the evening. A break in the rain brought the boys back to camp in time for this and a fire.

Day Four

We Clean Up and say our goodbye’s  🙁

Always leave wood for future travelers as this appears to be a site worth revisiting and one of the only safe ports on the lake  ICE!

We had the whole lake to ourselves and everyday brought rain and sunshine. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and with that said, the last two pic’s leave us beholden to this beautiful area…………….CHEERS!
